The City of Hastings Board of Health enacts rules and regulations to safeguard the health of the inhabitants of the City. The Board of Health consists of five (5) members as follows: the Mayor, who shall be Chairman of the Board, a physician who resides permanently in the City and who shall be medical advisor of the Board, the Chief of Police who shall be Secretary and Quarantine Officer, the President of the City Council and one (1) other member from the City, at large who shall be appointed by the Mayor. This term of these appointments run for the complete term of the Mayor in office. |
