Roger Glen and his wife Cindy grew up in Lexington, and moved to Hastings nine years ago from Lincoln to raise their children Sean, Julia and Murphy.  Roger is the Director of Pharmacy at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. He was first elected to represent the Second Ward in 2003, and re-elected this past November.    

Roger ran for City Council to be more active in the community.  An area of interest is Economic Development while maintaining a viable Downtown.   “It’s exciting to see all of the new development in our community, including a new state of the art water park, a new motorsport park, and growth to the North”.   The Downtown area is constantly changing as well, with new businesses, housing opportunities and plans for a park on Second Street.   All of these things bring people to Hastings and contribute to our economy.

Michael and his wife Jennifer moved to Hastings in 2004.  They have two children, Leah and Keithen.  Jennifer is a graduate of UNL and is employed by Prairie Title Company.  Michael is a graduate of UNL and The University of Alabama, and is employed as the executive director of the Hastings Family YMCA.  Both Michael and Jennifer are originally from Northeast Nebraska. 

Michael became active in the City Council in an attempt to take a more active role in the community.  His goals are to develop a more service minded community by making sure everyone is aware of what Hastings has to offer and how they can play a role in those offerings.  Michael would also like to see strong, sustainable growth in the community in an attempt to strengthen its long term foundation.
