The divisions available are C D E E-1 in mens league play as well as C D E E-1 in coed league play. Coed leagues play Monday Wednesday nights and mens leagues play Tuesday Thursday nights throughout the summer. All adult leagues guarantee a 14 or 16 game regular season depending on division with a double elimination league tournament following league play. Registration fees include one dozen softballs. Registration deadline is March 25th. Play will begin the rst week in May for mens and the second week in May for coed. Girls Fast-Pitch Softball Recreation League Smith Softball Complex 3900 Osborne Drive East The Hastings Parks Recreation Department is sponsoring three different age groups for a youth girls fast-pitch softball league. Age groups are 8 10 and 12. Appropriate leagues are determined by the players age on January 1 2016. Early Bird Registration deadline is March 18th. There will be a 10 added fee for all registrations submitted after the deadline. Practices will begin mid-April with games beginning mid-May. The league consists of six total games plus a single-elimination tournament. League play is scheduled to begin in May. Registration is 200 per team. Registration fees include one dozen softballs. The league will be held on Thursday mornings and last for six weeks. The majority of this league will be course play with hole prizes every week. A cookout will take place on the last day. Entry fee is 70 for the entire session and the league is limited to the rst 30 individuals. Clubs are available through the Sticks 4 Kids program. Must have taken at least 1 year of HPRD Golf Camp. This program is designed to establish court and equipment specications that ensure maximum activity based on the ability to serve rally and score. The court size and net height are smaller and to scale for the child much like other sports. Participants will use balls that are lighter softer and move slower through the air. Matches will also be played during class time. This program is set up to encourage the game of golf for Hastings area youth. Twenty sets of youth golf clubs are available for use this summer. There is a 30 deposit which will be refunded when the clubs are turned back in at the end of the summer. Please contact our department for more information. Special thanksto the ESU 9vocational classesfor llingthe eggs Easter Egg Hunt Brickyard Park Woodlawn and D Street Hey kids the Easter Bunny has placed colored Easter eggs at Brickyard Park. Come see if you can gather the eggs for your basket. There is no fee to participate. Children ages 0-3 will be in front of stage ages 4-6 east of the stage and ages 6-10 west of the stage. Winners can advance through four levels of competition including Team Championship events at the 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game. Age is determined as of July 18 2015. Hastings area youth have a history of competing well in this event on the regional level. The local meet will be held Sunday May 5 at the Hastings High track. Field events start at 1 pm with running events following. There is no entry fee but pre-registration is required. Entries will not be accepted on the day of the event. Entry forms are available at the Parks and Recreation ofce or on our website. For a private pool party please contact the Parks and Recreation ofce before the season and the Aquacourt during the season for information and rates. General Pool Rules All children not toilet trained must wear swim diapers. All children 9 and under must be accompanied and directly supervised by someone 14 or older in order to gain admission. No outside otation devices or toys are allowed. As required by state law the pools will close in the event of threatening andor inclement weather. The Aquacourt will be closed for public swimming if the air temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit or at the managers discretion based on inclement weather attendance or unusual circumstances. No glass gum food beverages or tobacco products are allowed.
