Open House October 2007

Welcome to the Online Open House!   Because of you, we are one step closer to establishing Hastings’ community vision.  The project team held an Open House on October 23, 2007 where over 100 people came to share their comments on 3 alternative visions for our community. These visions will set the direction for the Imagine Hastings Plan.  If you are among the over 100 participants, we want to express our greatest appreciation for sharing your comments with us.  If you were not able to visit us at the City Auditorium, please take a moment to tour our Online Open House.

This Online Open House gives you the opportunity to review, evaluate and comment on the same 3 alternative visions for growth and development.  Each alternative presents a different vision and a unique approach to the following concepts and elements:

Roadway network Economic development Growth and development Downtown

Commercial development Neighborhood development Institutions/civic institutions Parks and recreation

The most valuable opinion we need to hear from is yours.  Please review each alternative, its map and its elements and give us your comments. There is also an exercise that asks you to look at a collection of photographs and share your comments. 

We need to hear from you by November 11, 2007!!!

Your comments may reach us in three ways:

1.   You may submit your comments online by using the online comment form under the alternatives.
