City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Under Nebraska law, the City Clerk is responsible for fulfilling administrative responsibilities relative to the records management function associated with City government.

The City Clerk is responsible for managing the official records of the City of Hastings. This includes:
  • Recording all proceedings or City Council meetings
  • Serving as the legal custodian of official records; including minute books, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, agreements, conditional use permits, liquor licenses and deeds.
