Utility - Administration

SUMMARY

Provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of the Utilities Department operations, including hiring staff, planning and directing the activities and operations of the electric, gas, sewer and water utilities; provide direct supervision to the Utility Departments – Administration, Electric Production, Operations, Capital Management and Safety. Provide indirect supervision to support staffs including Engineering, Environmental, Purchasing and Public Information; coordinate and collaborate activities with other City departments and outside agencies; and provide policy, technical and administrative support to the Mayor, City Council, through the City Administrator. 

qualifications

  • Ten years of increasingly responsible experience in utility operations, including seven years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or related fields of Accounting, Finance, Economics) or Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related advance degree is a plus.
