SUMMARY
The City of Hastings seeks a strong leader with a passion for public service as part of a succession role for City Attorney.
The Assistant City Attorney will plan, direct, and participate in the provision of complex professional legal services to the Mayor, City Council, City Administrator, City departments and various boards and commissions; perform administrative work in administering the legal activities of the City; provide policy, technical and administrative support to the Mayor, City Council and the City Administrator.

qualifications
Education
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required.
Experience
- One year of professional legal experience, which may include trial, corporate, and municipal work and legal research experience.
- One year of experience in purchasing or bid preparation and evaluation.
Special Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice law in Nebraska and a member in good standing of the Nebraska State Bar Association prior to start date of employment.
