Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering, performs a variety of professional engineering work associated with power plants, gas distribution system, propane air plants, water distribution and treatment system, and wastewater collection and treatment system. 

A few tasks performed:

  • Prepares design drawings, specifications, and bid documents utilizing an array of tools including CAD, GIS, and Microsoft suite for engineering projects. Performs complex engineering calculations.
  • Aides in design along with making recommendations and decisions concerning the engineering, design, operation and maintenance of power plants, natural gas distribution system, propane air plants, water distribution and treatment system, and wastewater collection and treatment system.
  • Performs technical operational analysis and provides guidance on technical matters for improved reliability, performance, reduced emissions, and improved efficiency of plant equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, civil or biological systems or equivalent engineering degree from a college or university.
  • Must possess a valid State driver's license.

PREFERRED

  • Three to five years of engineering experience is preferred.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Nebraska is preferred
