Celebrate the Fourth of July at Brickyard Park
It’s almost time for the city’s annual Fourth of July celebration, which offers a family-friendly concert and fireworks show at Brickyard Park, located at Woodland & D Street in Hastings.
The City of Hastings Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the event, with food vendors onsite at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4.
The Fourth of July Cornhole Tournament also begins at 5:30 p.m. Team check-in is between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. The double elimination tournament will feature cash prizes for the top three teams. Teams must register in advance online, or by contacting the Parks & Recreation Department by July 1st. Registration is $10 per team.
Bases Loaded is the featured band for the concert, which kicks off at 7 p.m.
After the sun sets, Premier Pyrotechnics will light up the sky with a fireworks show. The celebration is free and open to the public.
