Each team is guaranteed four matches. There is a limit of eight teams per division. Teams will be assigned to officiate matches. Awards will be given to the 1st and 2nd place teams in the gold and silver brackets. A tournament party will be held immediately after the Saturday tournament. Each location is worth a different point value based on its distance from the floor. This competition has been very popular worldwide and was started as an NBA/ WNBA competition. The competition is open for boys and girls in grades 5-8. Divisions for this competition will be: 5-6 grade girls, 7-8 grade girls, 5-6 grade boys, 7-8 grade boys. Parks & Rec staff will conduct team placement. There will be two weeks of practices with the first games starting in January. All practices and games will be held at the Hastings Middle School gym. This league is for grades K-2 only.
