BNSF crossings in South Hastings set for rehabilitation
The City of Hastings Street Department is assisting BNSF Railway with traffic barricades next week as the railroad rehabilitates three crossings, one at a time, in south Hastings.
A Street will be the first crossing closed, followed by B Street and then D Street.
Work at the crossings is anticipated to be completed the week of the closures, but that is tentative depending on how quickly the rehabilitation occurs. The work includes repairing the pads at each crossing.
While the D Street crossing is closed, City of Hastings Street Department crews will also rehabilitate the pavement on either side of the crossing.
The Railroad and City of Hastings will work closely together to make sure the crossings are closed and reopened as needed.
