Denver Avenue closure from 7th to 9th streets extended due to rain
The temporary closure of Denver Avenue to through traffic between Seventh and Ninth streets to accommodate a Mary Lanning Healthcare project will extend a little longer.
The project is facilitating the installation of steam pipes under the street from the new MLH boiler plant to the hospital building. The new boiler plant will replace the aging boiler system located inside the hospital.
The project began May 28 and was originally scheduled to run through July 2. However, due to recent rains the closure has been extended to July 10.
