Hastings Public Library to participate in inaugural Library Fall Crawl
Hastings Public Library joins 23 libraries across the central part of Nebraska in the first Library Fall Crawl, taking place from Sept. 2 to Nov. 30.
Sponsored by the Central Plains Library System, the Library Fall Crawl invites residents to visit libraries across 22 communities, exploring new spaces, attending programs, and discovering the variety of resources each library has to offer.
To take part, patrons can pick up a free Library Crawl passport beginning Sept. 2. Visitors will receive a sticker and staff initials at each participating library to mark their stop. Completed passports with at least five stamps from five different libraries will be entered into a prize drawing. Passports may be turned in at the participant’s home library or at the fifth library they visit.
Along with sponsoring the event, the Central Plains Library System is also providing three prize baskets, valued at $250 each, including the latest Amazon Kindle 16 GB and cozy items such as a fleece blanket, fuzzy socks, a mug, hot drink mixes, and candles. Winners will be announced on Dec. 15.
