Hastings Museum invites families to explore Summer Fun programs
Summer adventure is just around the corner as the Hastings Museum prepares to kick off another exciting season of Summer Fun programs beginning June 1. Throughout June and July, the Museum will offer a wide variety of hands-on classes designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and discovery through art, history, science, and more.
Open to both first-time and returning campers, Summer Fun gives children the opportunity to explore new interests, make friends, and enjoy an engaging summer experience in a fun and welcoming environment. Classes are available for students in Pre-K through 8th grade, with popular offerings including Scientist Sampler, Pirates, Flags, and Treasure, and Craft-a-Palooza. With a diverse lineup of activities and topics, there is something for every young learner. Registration for each class closes one week before the class start date, and many classes fill quickly.
In addition to student registration, the Museum is also seeking volunteers ages 12 and older to help support Summer Fun programs throughout the summer. Volunteers assist educators with classroom activities, help create a positive experience for campers, and gain valuable leadership and volunteer experience along the way.
Class descriptions, schedules, volunteer information, and registration details are available at: HastingsMuseum.org/Summer-Fun
Registration is open online, over the phone, or in person. Families are reminded to register for each class individually and complete the required online health form for each child.
“Summer Fun is such a special part of what we do at the Museum,” said Russanne Hoff. “Every class is designed to give kids the chance to explore, create, and discover something new. We’re especially excited about this year’s new educators and fresh class offerings, and we can’t wait to welcome families back for another summer of learning and fun.
Class fees are $60 for Museum members and $70 for non-members.
