Hastings Public Library launches online merchandise store
Hastings Public Library is giving community members a new way to show their library pride with the launch of its official online merchandise store on Saturday, July 4.
The new online storefront features a variety of apparel and accessories celebrating both the library and America's 250th birthday. Available through Bonfire, the store includes T-shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, tank tops, tote bags, and youth apparel, with new, limited-edition designs planned throughout the year for special events, library campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
The inaugural patriotic collection features the slogan "Built on Stories Since 1776" paired with a graphic of the United States created entirely from books—a design that celebrates the role libraries have played in American communities throughout the nation's history.
A second collection, "Find Me at the Library," showcases the library's brand colors and logo, offering a simple way for patrons and supporters to share their love of Hastings Public Library wherever they go.
"Public libraries are one of the most American institutions we have," said Library Director Kelly Reisig. "They embody the ideals of free access to knowledge, lifelong learning and opportunity for everyone. As our country celebrates 250 years, we're proud to recognize the important role libraries have played in communities like Hastings and invite our patrons to celebrate with us."
Purchases made through the online store help promote the library throughout the community while giving supporters an opportunity to represent Hastings Public Library beyond its walls. Proceeds will go to the Hastings Library Foundation to continue to support library programs and projects.
The online store officially opens July 4 and can be found at Bonfire. New merchandise designs will be introduced periodically to celebrate library programs, seasonal events, and community initiatives.
