Libs Park Splash Pad turned off for summer

With cooler temperatures forecasted for the foreseeable future, the Hastings Parks and Recreation Department has decided to turn off the Libs Park Splash Pad for the summer season on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

This is one week after the Heartwell Park and Lincoln Park wading pools were drained for the season.

Labor Day weekend has traditionally marked the end of the season for all three water attractions. However, because the new Splash Pad installed last year is more efficient with water than the previous splash pad, the Parks and Recreation Department will look at extending the splash pad every season if the system is operating normally and the weather is warm.
