Development Services to take over junk and nuisance enforcement
Starting Oct. 1, 2026, the Development Services Department will take over all junk and nuisance complaints.
Development Services will focus on zoning code violations such as junk in yards and dilapidated buildings. To contact the Development Services Department, call (402) 461-2331.
These complaints can also be reported here.
HPD Community Service Officers will still handle all parking, animal and tall grass complaints.

Please be as thorough as possible on the form describing the violation to assist the City of Hastings in addressing the complaint.
