Bookmobile
The Hastings Public Library Bookmobile provides outreach services to the Hastings and Adams County community. Scheduled stops include schools, daycares, retirement communities and various neighborhoods. The bookmobile has various items for check out including books, audiobooks, DVDs, etc.
We are dedicated to providing access to information, literature, and ideas to all ages and members of the community.
Schedule
The bookmobile schedule is published in the spring (January-May); summer (June-July); and fall (August-December). The bookmobile schedule is published in January, May, and August. For details about requesting a stop, see the Requests for a Stop or Event section below.
Things to Know
- Items may be returned to either the bookmobile or the main library, regardless of where they were checked out.
- Most items check out for 4 weeks; DVDs checkout for 2 weeks.
- Requests may be picked up on the bookmobile at any stop.
- Library card applications and replacements are available on board.
- Notification of bookmobile route cancellations will be available on Facebook.
Requests for a Stop or Event
The bookmobile schedule is published in January, May, and August. Stops will be added up to the month of publication. Any Bookmobile Stop Application submitted after the deadline will be evaluated for the following publication period. The bookmobile is also available to attend community events, festivals, and parades.
If you would like to request a stop or if there is an event you wish the bookmobile to be present for, please fill out the Bookmobile Stop Application and return it completed to the library. Applications can be returned in person or by mail.
