The Hastings Solid Waste Landfill at 725 S. Southern Hills Drive is prohibiting light-weight debris the rest of the day on Dec. 19, while a wind advisory is in place. HFR responds to fire at 205 E. 4th St.

Hastings Fire & Rescue responded to a structure fire on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the house at 205 E. Fourth St. Firefighters were dispatched at 7:31 p.m., and the fire was under control around 8:30 p.m.  Occupants were evacuated.  The house was under construction, which hindered firefighting efforts.
