City Hall survey available until March 22
The City of Hastings has launched a seven-question survey to gather public and city employee feedback about current and future needs for City Hall.

The survey follows a pair of tours and town hall discussions, which each drew about 40 people for a total of around 80 people, on Saturday March 4 and then on Monday March 6.
The survey has multiple-choice questions, but also asks for written comments. Inappropriate and/or vulgar comments will be omitted, so will comments identifying other individuals.
In addition to the digital survey, paper copies of the survey are available in the following:
Development Services office on the first floor of city hall at 220 N. Hastings Ave.
Administration office on the second floor of city hall at 220 N. Hastings Ave.
Hastings Public Library at 314 N. Denver Ave.
North Denver Station (Hastings Utilities office) at 1228 N. Denver Ave.
Hastings Parks and Recreation Department office at 2015 W. Third St.
Paper copies can be returned to any one of the five locations.
The survey will be available until March 22.
Participation in the survey, as well as participation in the two town hall events, will allow city officials to make a well-informed decision about the future of City Hall.
City Administrator Shawn Metcalf is leading efforts to look at the future facility needs for Hastings City Hall.
Metcalf is serving as chair of a City Hall Committee.

Committee members felt strongly they need to engage the public in this process.
Committee members are looking at the current city building as well as other potential locations.
The committee will establish a list of pros and cons for different locations and eventually present options to the Hastings City Council.
