City of Hastings Independence Day celebration to be at Brickyard Park

The City of Hastings Independence Day celebration begins 5:30 p.m., July 4 at Brickyard Park.

Festivities begin 5:30 p.m., with a doubles cornhole tournament. Participation is $20 per team. Teams must preregister by June 30. For more information go to https://www.cityofhastings.org/departments/parks-and-recreation/recreation/special-events/4th-of-july-concert.html.

Food Trucks will serve food 5:30-10 p.m.

A concert including Luke Mills will perform 7-10 p.m. With fireworks to begin at 10 p.m.

The annual 4th of July Parade at Fisher Fountain is organized by the YWCA of Adams. Activities and games will take place 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The kids parade around the fountain – including decorated bikes, strollers and scooters – starts at noon. Barbecue and raffles will support YWCA programs.
