Parks restrooms to close Oct. 27
Restrooms at Hastings city parks will close Friday, Oct. 27 for the winter season. Outdoor drinking fountains will also be turned off at this time.
Restrooms will be closed during the day on Friday while Hastings Parks and Recreation staff take on winterization throughout the day.
The closures include restrooms at the following parks:
Brickyard Park
Carter Park
Chautauqua Park
Crosier Park
Heartwell Park
Highland Park
Lake Hastings
Libs Park
Lincoln Park
Oswego Park
Rec Fields
If there is a warm spell in the near future, restrooms at Heartwell, Crosier, and Lake Hastings parks, which are newer facilities, may reopen for a sport period. However, the current 10-day forecast does not look favorable.
Please take the closures into consideration when planning outdoor gatherings at the parks over the winter season.
The restrooms will reopen in the spring.
