Jan. 8 council meeting not rescheduled
The Jan. 8 Hastings City Council meeting will not be rescheduled. Those agenda items will be moved forward to the Jan. 22 City Council meeting.
Also, the decision was made to shift the Work session agenda items for January to a future regular City Council meeting. There will not be a January work session held next week. City offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 to observe Martin Luther King Jr., day.
The Hastings City Council meeting was canceled due to inclement weather.
The City of Hastings previously declared a snow emergency to begin at 8 a.m., Monday Jan. 8.
The snow emergency will continue through 8 a.m., Wednesday Jan. 10, based on the latest winter weather forecast that predicts several inches of snow, plus wind. The National Weather Service in Hastings issued a winter storm warning that was later upgraded to a blizzard warning.
