Downtown snow removal to begin 4 a.m., Jan. 13
The City of Hastings will begin downtown snow removal at 4 a.m., Saturday. Please make sure all vehicles are in parking lots, or the vehicles may be towed.
There is A LOT of snow so snow removal may take two nights.
The City of Hastings declared a snow emergency to begin at 8 p.m., Thursday Jan. 11.
Hastings saw significant snowfall the evening of Jan. 11 into mid-day Jan. 12.
No parking is allowed along snow emergency routes during the above timeframe to give snowplows room to work. Vehicles in violation of the snow emergency are subject to being ticketed or towed. The snow emergency routes include the downtown area.
While no parking is allowed on downtown streets during a snow emergency, downtown parking lots will remain open.
