Landfill prohibits light debris during high wind advisory
The Hastings Solid Waste Landfill at 725 S. Southern Hills Drive is prohibiting light weight debris while the high wind advisory is in place.
With wind speeds of more than 35 mph, the high wind advisory began at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27 and is anticipated to be in place the rest of the day.
Heavier debris, such as wood waste, construction debris and furniture is still permitted at the Landfill during a high wind advisory.
With strong winds forecasted, the high wind advisory may return later in the week.
