Due to COVID-19 the City of Hastings has decided to eliminate direct contact with the public for the time being.  All permits and applications for Development are available online via the Online & Permits Applications menu to the left.

Featured Projects

Hastings Rural Fire District is planning a new fire station.  The new fire station will be located behind the Adams County Extension Office located at 2975 S. Baltimore Avenue.  The property is being platted into a flag lot.  Preliminary Plat approval was recommended by Planning Commission on April 20th 2020 and will be heard at the May 11th 2020 City Council Meeting.  Final Plat approval will occur in May and June 2020.  Contractors received special permission from City Council to start grading and basic foundation.  Once the Final Plat is fully approved the construction on the structure will commence.  Building plans are in concurrent staff review.
