2025 - Heartbeat Creative District
The Heartbeat Creative District, also known as the Hastings Art and Beat District, is a Certified Nebraska Creative District as identified by the Nebraska Arts Council. It is intended to promote the arts as an economic driver through the support of existing and creation of new creative projects and events.
The Public Art Plan for the Heartbeat Creative District identifies objectives, priority locations, approval procedures, and funding sources for future public art within the district.
The District is located in Downtown Hastings due to the centralized location and existence of sculptures, murals, events, and creative local businesses. The District boundaries are generally from Burlington Avenue to Eastside Boulevard and the BNSF railroad tracks to 7th Street.
