Hastings Fire & Rescue provides a broad range of specialized rescue capabilities.

Our rescue operations include:

• Water rescue
• Ice rescue
• Rope rescue
• Confined space rescue
• Trench rescue
• High-angle and low-angle rescue
• Vehicle extrication

All full-time firefighters receive specialized training in each of these rescue disciplines.

For the majority of rescue incidents, Hastings Fire & Rescue utilizes a heavy rescue apparatus and a quint, providing the personnel, equipment, and specialized capabilities needed to respond to complex technical rescue emergencies.

Whether the emergency involves a vehicle collision, a confined space, unstable terrain, fast-moving water, or another challenging environment, our personnel are prepared to operate in difficult conditions to reach and assist those in need.
