EMS

Hastings Fire & Rescue provides both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services to the City of Hastings and Adams County.

Our EMS Division also provides ALS intercepts to surrounding counties and communities, extending advanced medical care throughout the region.

Hastings Fire & Rescue responds to more than 3,000 medical emergencies each year, making EMS a significant part of our daily operations.

Our EMS fleet includes five ambulances:

• Two ambulances staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week
• Three ambulances maintained as backup units

Each EMS call receives an ambulance response along with a first responder vehicle, providing additional personnel and resources to begin patient care and support the ambulance crew.

From the first medical assessment through advanced treatment and transport, our EMS personnel are prepared to provide professional, compassionate care when every second matters.
